Tammy L Hersh is a Principal with the firm. In her capacity as a recognized expert, Tammy specializes in providing litigation support, economic damage analysis, forensic accounting and valuation services. With over 20 years of accounting experience, Tammy has extensive experience providing services in matters including complex commercial litigations, shareholder disputes, business valuation matters, and matrimonial proceedings.

Tammy’s experience in complex litigations includes damages measurement and lost profit determinations involving breach of contract, shareholder disputes, wrongful terminations, breach of fiduciary duty, non-compete disputes, class actions, and business interruptions. She has performed over 100 business valuations on a variety of industries for damage assessments, divorce, gift and estate taxes, and for the acquisition and sales of businesses. She has assisted numerous companies and attorneys with matters involving employee theft, financial statement fraud, accounting malpractice, and securities fraud. Prior to joining Asterion, Tammy served as Principal with a boutique accounting firm and was a Director with a national public accounting firm providing litigation and valuation services. As a frequent speaker, Tammy has presented to both business and civic organizations on topics such as commercial damages, business valuations, forensic accounting and fraud.

Tammy earned her B.B.A. and M.B.A. from Pace University. She holds accounting certifications in both New Jersey and New York. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), a recipient of the AICPA’s Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) designations and is accredited as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).

Tammy is a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).
