Are you prepared for more litigation?

Expect more litigation due to the pandemic, and more litigation funding. The lawsuits are already starting. Le Tote has sued Urban Outfitters, claiming proprietary information was used to set up a competitor. In California, cannery workers quarantined on their way to Alaska’s salmon factories have sued seeking unpaid wages. Landlord/tenant disputes involving restaurants and retailers like GAP and Valentino may change leasing terms for commercial properties.

Asterion has expertise in preparing reports that demonstrate potential recoveries to assist in obtaining litigation funding. Our experts can also assist in preparing damages reports or defending damages claims in litigation matters.

Fraud never takes a holiday.

German payments processor Wirecard filed for insolvency and the CEO is out on bail after the discovery that $2.1 billion in missing deposits never existed. A Singapore-based oil trader has also collapsed, leaving lenders exposed. Fraud is suspected. Closer to home, the federal government paid for test tubes. They were supplied with plastic forms meant to be shaped into soda bottles.

Whether we’re working with financial institutions, government agencies, companies or individuals, accused or harmed, Asterion is well-versed in analyzing and documenting fraud schemes. However, we must remind you that some people learn nothing. Jack Abramoff is going back to prison.

FYI
